This renovation included building a custom shed, converting a garage into a office/studio, creating an opening with barn doors to connect the new space, converting the former door to the garage into a bar space, updating windows, building a custom floor to ceiling bookshelf room divider, painting kitchen cabinets, installing new tile and lighting throughout the kitchen, updating the sink and hood, creating a new bedroom and laundry room out of a open loft area, and rebuilding a bathroom.

This 1940’s East Austin home was in need of some aesthetic updates, repairs, and modernization. The kitchens and baths were stripped to the studs and rebuilt, walls were reformatted to create a better flow and space efficiency, original wood siding was repaired, electrical and plumbing were updated, and windows, doors, and fixtures were replaced, and the front porch and entrance was reformatted. We see the potential in older homes and enjoy changing them into the spaces with practical modern updates, while still maintaining some of the historic gems in a house.
