Founded in 2019 by Lisa Bruner and Kris Jensen, Dwell Best Construction brings together more than 35 years of hands-on construction, remodeling, and project management experience. We’ve built our company around a personal and focused approach; taking on one project at a time and staying closely involved from start to finish. That means your home gets our full attention. We believe that daily oversight and clear communication are crucial to the success of our projects, which is why we are onsite working every day. We pride ourselves on finishing beautiful high quality projects on time and on budget.

Kris has been working in construction and remodeling since 1998. Over the past 30 years, he has led and collaborated on the design and construction of more than 700 home builds and renovations in San Francisco and Austin.
An expert craftsman, Kris brings deep hands-on knowledge of every phase of the building process, from framing to finishes. His experience gives him a sharp eye for detail and a clear understanding of how quality construction impacts a project at every stage. Kris is on the jobsite every day, working alongside the team, leading the process, and making sure each detail is built with care and consideration of the next step and the completed finish.

Co-Founder & Project Manager

Lisa has a deep expertise in project management and laser focus for detailed budgets and timelines. She works directly with design teams and clients to develop scopes, materials selections, and budgets.
Using builder platforms and digital tools, she keeps the projects on track with clear communication and transparency on timelines and budgets. She brings a strong practical and aesthetic design sensibility, along with a deep understanding of the building process. She has managed both remodels and new home builds from design through completion.
